Introduction to the Islamic Medical Association Electronic Mailing List
I pray that all my brothers and sisters find this message in good
health and Islaamic spirit (imaan). Ameen.
If you are interested in medicine or biomedical sciences, I would like to
cordially invite you to become a subscriber to a newly formed
Islamic Medical Association Electronic Mailing List.
This mailing list will have the following goals:
- networking premedical/dental students with their medical/dental student,
resident counterparts.
- publicizing any Islamic Medical Association (IMA) or International
Institute of Islamic Medicine (IIIM) announcements, or other lectures,
conferences.
- generating research and discussion on various issues specific to
Islamic medicine and biomedical sciences.
- trying to share ideas on how to start IMA chapters at the various
medical/dental schools and any "pearls" about getting funding.
- stimulating discussion about non-profit muslim clinics.
- publizing career opportunities and ways of improving one's career
opportunities.
- publizing scientific and Islamic articles of general interest to
physicians, biomedical scientists to keep subscribers up to date and
knowledgeable of current Islamic and medical/biomedical knowledge.
In the future we hope to convert this mailing list to a controlled
listserver, so that subscribers can post to the mailing list directly.
